NCJWLA Sylvia & Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• To qualify for the Sylvia & Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship, an applicant must be a single mother entering or continuing school in an accredited institution in order to learn a marketable skill, which will lead to economic independence. The award is made in two payments of $500.00. The second payment will be received after written confirmation of status and current school transcripts from the recipient. In order to apply students, must: Currently be enrolled or accepted in Spring and planning to attend next Fall; Live and attend school in Los Angeles County; and Meet the application requirements.

  Students can apply to up to two scholarships and re-apply every semester. Funding is distributed directly to the schools on the following school term. Funds are paid in full and are not fee specific. Students in their last term are not eligible to apply. The Student Aid Report is no longer required to demonstrate financial need. Financial need will be determined based on essay.
