Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership is committed to serving our students and ensuring equal access to our high-quality learning and leadership programs. A Spertus education builds and strengthens community leaders, and the Spertus Scholarship program makes our programs accessible to students with varied interests, backgrounds, and professional experiences. Limited funds are granted based on demonstrated need, academic achievement, and promise.
Spertus Institute is extremely pleased to be able to award substantial scholarships — called Midcareer Fellowships — to select qualified students. Fellowships are available for qualified students accepted during select time periods to the MA or Executive MA in Jewish Professional Studies. Applicants must be 5 years out from receiving their undergraduate degrees, have spent 3 years working in Jewish communal service, are currently employed in a Jewish organization for a minimum of 15 hours per week, and demonstrate commitment to completing the program. Admission to the MAJPS or EMAJPS program is a requirement for the Fellowship.
