The Hawaii Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance offers two $750 scholarship for high school seniors and two $1250 scholarships for college/university students (either undergraduate or graduate level) who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching health, physical education, dance or recreation leadership.
High School Applicants must have attended a high school in Hawaii for a minimum of two years, have a desire to teach in the areas of health, physical education, recreation or dance in Hawaii, be applying to a 4-year program, have a 3.0 GPA and have done community service.
Undergraduate Applicants must have attended a high school in Hawaii for a minimum of two years, have a desire to teach in the areas of health, physical education, recreation or dance in Hawaii, be currently enrolled in a 4-year program as a full-time student, have a 3.0 GPA and have done community service.
Graduate Applicants must have attended a high school in Hawaii for a minimum of two years, have a desire to teach in the areas of health, physical education, recreation or dance in Hawaii, be currently applying, accepted, or enrolled in a graduate program, have a 3.0 GPA and have done community service.
