UNICO National is dedicated to promoting the image of Italian Americans and preserving Italian heritage and culture. Through its Foundation, UNICO supports charitable, scientific, cultural, educational, and literary projects.
The UNICO Foundation, Inc. is proud to introduce a new scholarship for the academic year in memory of Joseph L. Manganaro. This scholarship, valued at $10,000, is intended for a deserving High School Graduate who will be attending a full-time accredited campus-based college, university, or technical school in the United States.
Scholarship Criteria:
Eligibility:
• Open to United States citizens, at least eighteen years of age.
• Applicants of all ethnicities are welcome.
• Must be a High School Graduate, planning to attend or already attending an accredited college, university, or technical school.
Association with UNICO:
• Candidates must have an association with a UNICO Chapter.
• Reside or study in a Chapter state.
• Must be sponsored by an active UNICO District, Chapter, or Member in good standing.
Assessment of Merit:
This scholarship places a strong emphasis on the candidate’s achievements in both academic and non-academic activities. Leadership, integrity, work ethic, and a commitment to service will be given priority in the assessment of merit.
