  • To be eligible for The Graydon & Myrth Fox Scholarship, applicants must: demonstrate financial need; be pursuing a degree at an accredited college, university, or trade school; and, be a veteran who has served honorably in the United States Armed Forces, a surviving spouse, dependent child or grandchild of a U.S. Veteran (preference will be given to wounded personnel or a surviving spouse, dependent child or grandchild of personnel killed or wounded while on active duty). The Graydon and Myrth Fox Scholarship was established to assist individuals who are seeking to further their job skills or improve their circumstances through education by providing scholarships for Veterans who have served honorably in the United States Armed Forces or a surviving spouse, dependent child, or grandchild of a U.S. Veteran. Preference will be given to wounded personnel or a surviving spouse, dependent child, or grandchild of personnel killed or wounded while on active duty as a result of their service to our nation.

    Applicants must provide a DD 214 to show proof of service in the United States Armed Forces, and a DD form 1300 if personnel was killed or wounded while on active duty. Applicants must also provide a one-page personal statement essay describing their academic and professional goals and financial need. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from an individual who is not related to the applicant. Supplemental questions may include: Are you a Veteran who has served honorably in the United States Armed Forces or a surviving spouse, dependent child, or grandchild of a U.S. Veteran? Are you wounded personnel or a surviving spouse, dependent child, or grandchild of personnel killed or wounded while on active duty? (You may be asked to provide proof of relationship to the veteran). Was the deceased or wounded personnel performing official military duties in a combat situation or military training exercise?
