  • Scholarship Description
  • Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $250 each:
    -One for Photography
    -One for Painting/Drawing

    Eligibility:
    -Must be a high school senior attending school in Fremont, Newark, or Union City
    -Must have taken at least one class on campus in the following areas:
    -Photography
    -Painting
    - Drawing
    -Three (3) finished products must be submitted. They are not required to be mounted – matted. Must be original work.

    Selection process:
    -Finished products will be submitted with application to The League of Volunteers Community Service Center
    -Once art & photo entries are submitted to the Newark Arts Council - they will remain in the hands of the Council until judged
    -Newark Arts Council will judge all work and notify winner & winner's school.
    -Work not picked up after judging by the end of June of submitted year will become property of The League of Volunteers

According to Jason Camacho, the "colleges are in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as their websites are not accessible to people with disabilities."
