The Laurel Arts League, a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging and fostering the arts, is now accepting applications for our scholarship program. The scholarship amount is $2000. Deadline for submission is Friday, April 8th. The Laurel Arts League Scholarship is open to all collegiate students in their junior or senior year attending an accredited institution located within Mississippi or a junior or senior collegiate student from Jones County who is attending an accredited institution outside the state. Applicants must be majoring in a visual fine arts degree program at a college or university (private or public).
Award will be determined on a competitive basis and require the submission of an art portfolio and two letters of recommendation. Scholarship award criteria includes quality of work, financial need and recommendations. All work must be original in fabrication and concept. All applicants will be notified via email of results no later than April 29th. The scholarship amount is $2000, with one half to be paid per semester for one year.
