  • Scholarship Description
  • Devante Stokes' Scholarship is awarded annually to anyone who resides in South Carolina. Interested students must also attend an institution in the South Carolina area. This scholarship is also available to the student with potential but doesn't have a high GPA, someone 25 years old or younger attending or interested in attending a vocational or trade school, a single parent or someone who has been incarcerated and looking for a fresh start or anyone with a setback and has a compelling desire to pursue their education. Carpenter Comps College Costs for 33 Iowans

An Iowa Carpenter sent 33 Iowan students he never met to college with the $3 million he had in savings. Prior to his death in 2005, Dale Schroeder told his attorney that he wanted to direct his will money towards sending underprivileged students to college.
