Scientology? yeet.

Meriza G  on 5/27/2019 1:06:37 PM

This maybe the most convenient scholarship ever for me since its quite hard to find scholarships nowadays that have to do with art in general. i'm a upcoming high school senior and I've been a lot of illustration work for about 6 years now. I hope my work will be satisfactory to their program. I applied for this one back in March and if I don't get anything out of it, I can just apply again! What a good opportunity!

Claudia H  on 5/24/2019 11:54:57 AM

L Ron Hubbard lol

Caro L  on 5/22/2019 4:03:14 PM

Is converting to Scientology a condition for applying?

Kisembo S  on 5/19/2019 10:11:06 AM

This could be an opportunity to cover my tuition. I'm really glad to apply for this scholarship.

Jed B  on 5/9/2019 2:52:04 PM

I'm sorry but...THE L. Ron Hubbard?....yeah....I would really avoid this if I were you, considering where the location is and who the guy is in general...and their daffy religion..

Krista G  on 5/7/2019 10:14:08 AM

My mother was diagnosed with Menieres disease which causes terrible tinnituts and vertigo and now she is on disability and cannot afford for me to attend art school. I will be sure to give back in the future when I am successful. Thank you.

Mariah B  on 2/28/2019 12:09:03 PM

L. Ron Hubbard founded Scientology... I don't know if I should trust this one.

Ayleen G  on 1/22/2019 1:02:37 PM

is this the guy that would beat his jazz band if they played notes wrong?

Izabella A  on 1/10/2019 8:58:52 PM

I am very passionate about my art. I am a high school senior and my twin sister and I are both planning to attend art school. So my poor mom has to pay 2 times tuition. Any help is so very much appreciated. We both paint and draw every day. Art is such a major part of our lives. Thank you for considering my application

Emily S  on 1/6/2019 8:28:51 PM

So.. no one is going to comment on how L Ron Hubbard is the founder of a cult. Ok.

Samserai C  on 12/26/2018 11:54:36 AM

Brandon Z  on 12/19/2018 11:09:43 PM

Alix M  on 12/19/2018 2:02:32 PM

Now this, is epic

Francene B  on 12/14/2018 11:20:16 AM

I am applying for this scholarship to acquire a degree in art - I would like to be an art teacher and further my education. My goal is to teach underprivileged children in title 1 school districts, be involved in summer programs that help support the arts. I believe the earlier we teach students to be creative the better problem solvers they become. This also supports creative thinking needed for the arts, computer science, engineering and all facets of learning.

santiago p  on 12/3/2018 9:33:36 PM

I am shy about my art but I need the money with much desperation so I will give it a shot, I hope I get the money since I am paycheck to paycheck and having a hard time to pay for school as most of all of us.

Cristian S  on 11/21/2018 6:12:03 PM

I really hope I can get this scholarship My drawing is not perfect but at least i try

Alano C  on 11/20/2018 5:43:31 PM

Super nervous to share my artwork, but if it means getting money for college then I'm all for it!

Quincy G  on 11/19/2018 9:39:10 AM

I applied for this scholarship because I love art. Also, my mom is disabled and unable to maintain a steady income. Any financial assistance will help.

Marisela C  on 8/31/2018 3:45:16 PM

I am applying for your scholarship in order further my education as well as do something no one in my family has done before, go to college. I will be a first generation college student if I can get the assistance I need to do so. My father is my inspiration to go to college. He has never gone to college, he was an immigrant new to this country 18 years ago he worked hard everyday starting from the bottom at most jobs and working his way up. Thru his hard work and ethics he was able to get his citizenship a few years ago. Hard work and determination, he has completely instilled in me what it can accomplish and I take that into everything I do. My dream is to pursue art, specifically computer animation. I currently work part time at the restaurant my very father now is co owner to in my home town and although I do not have all the extra curricular activities that most students pursue, I enjoy all of my artistic endeavors I have had from assisting in the art class room in high school to assisting my long time art teacher with his out side classes which I participate in as well. I have been in the art club at my high school and have assisted with designing sets for the drama club. I would like to thank you in advance for your time and consideration in reading this.

College Board Backpedals - No Adversity Score to be Added

August 30, 2019

by Susan Dutca-Lovell

College Board is ditching its previous plan to capture socioeconomic information from students with a single score - also known as an "adversity score" - when scoring their SAT college admissions test. The score would have taken into account a student's socioeconomic background and the neighborhood in which they grew up. [...]

Female-Only Scholarships Under Fire In Higher Ed

August 20, 2019

by Susan Dutca-Lovell

Female-only college and university STEM programs are coming under fire for male discrimination as they attempt to "redress gender imbalance" in fields such as computer science and engineering. The U.S. Department of Education launched more than two dozen investigations into higher education institutions nationwide - including UC Berkeley, UCLA and USC as well as Yale, Princeton and Rice - which offer female-only scholarships, awards and professional development workshops.
