• The Rau for Art Foundation was founded to identify and develop young artistic talent and to give back to the local community that has supported the gallery throughout the years. The Rau for Art Foundation supports arts appreciation and education in the schools of Greater New Orleans by assisting talented young artists to reach their academic and professional goals in the arts. Throughout their generosity, the Rau for Art Foundation offers a scholarship to local students.

  It is the Rau For Art Foundation’s mission to promote the talent of our community’s emerging artists at the high school-level by awarding their excellence in artistic achievement. Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany or St. Charles Parish (public, private, or home-school equivalent), and must submit a work of art created during their high school career.
