  • The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship is for full-time African-American or Black students pursuing a degree in performing arts including, but not limited to, drama, music, dance, opera, marching bands, and other musical ensembles.

    Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident who is preparing to pursue, or is currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree full-time at an accredited college or university. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. Must be pursuing a career in the performing arts with an eligible major, have a minimum 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale and exhibit leadership and be active in community. I'm attempting to apply currently, but I'm very hardworking and majoring in music is a huge dream of mine. And if I can get a scholarship, that would be icing on the cake

Hi I did yet, but i will apply for it i'm just waiting for you people to let me know.I realize that how great i' am with dacing I've been doing it since my childhood, in school church party with my sisters a lot's of it and i want to have my change to do it right now to help me remind how great is dancing if i want to do it i just have to move forward and get it. Just be free to flight if i want to be more and more, always.

I haven't applied yet, but I will because dancing is the heart and soul of my life. It is my happy place that calms me whenever I feel upset or sad. It is like an escape from reality when i'm dancing.

Yes, I did apply because I love dancing it's my passion I've been dancing since I was 3 years old, and not to mention I'm obsessed so for me to make varsity as a freshman is a huge deal for me. you know all my life I've been getting bullied for dancing and singing they would always say. "Hey fat girl gets off the stage while you still have a chance to be alive." but if I'm being honest all those negative comments never made me stop they actually made me stronger. so for as long as I'm breathing I will stand and dance any day I want to.
