Hi i am interested in applying. Lennon has inspired me my whole life, i play guitar, bass, drums, some piano, and sing a little. All self taught. Not only has John taught me about music, love, and peace but also about life.

Is this scholarship open to high school students who are also enrolled in college as well as high school? I have been doing both all throughout high school.

Will my songs be stolen and submitted to music publishers?

Savannah S  on 12/9/2018 9:35:03 PM

This is an honorable scholarship to have ! but only God can truly determine who takes this my name is Savannah Smith I am a singer and lyricist currently writing my 3rd album. My first single is on itunes and all platforms titled Romans 5:8 a biblical title with an R&B feeling. I write only love songs about relationships and hurt but I can be versatile if asked to. It would be an honor to win this scholarship to help my music reach the front and have people connect.

Can you win if you are a highschool student?

Teryn S  on 11/10/2018 1:32:19 PM

Would Jazz and funk count? Any form of metal? Maybe a rock-opera? Or does it have to be just those.

Jeremy W  on 9/8/2018 1:06:01 PM

Can multiple students work on the same song?

Brandon H  on 8/8/2017 4:24:39 PM

Are the genres suggested above required to base a song on, or are they just examples? I've never written a song or composed a melody or anything like that. But hey, why not start now?

Reynaldo H  on 3/24/2016 10:14:57 AM

This is a dream come true scholarship. Everyone want it but only a few are selected, or who knows. I would love to be that one of a few, like every body else. But only God knows and can determine, who really needs it. My name is Reynaldo Im a senior in HS, I would be so greatful to win this scholarship because it would help me achieve my dream in the "Law Enforcement Unit" carreer. Im only 17 and I am in many programs, in different precints and youth programs to help the community. I love to help others, and I also volunteer in order to have sometime of experience that would help me in the long run. I want to become and FBI Agent and with this little bit of help, god knows i might be able to persue my carrer even further. Its sad how college are becoming so expensive, and me like the others cannot afford. its sad how we have dreams and goals in life and we cannot achieve it because of the expensive amount we have to pay. I wish that college were free so minorities like myself can achieve our goals in life.
