  • The late Jerry Leiber and his partner Mike Stoller, writer of such hits as “Hound Dog,” “Kansas City,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Stand By Me,” “On Broadway,” and “Is That All There Is?” developed and funded The ASCAP Foundation Leiber & Stoller Scholarship program. This scholarship provides assistance to high school seniors who will be attending college majoring in music. They should be aspiring songwriters, musicians or vocalists who will study at a college or university.

    To be eligible for consideration for the Award, an entrant (each, an “Entrant”) must be: A high school senior who will enroll in a college or university level music program during the upcoming academic year. A musician, songwriter, composer, lyricist, arranger and who writes original works. Entrants must not be currently signed to a “major” publishing or record deal, as determined by the Foundation in its sole discretion. Songs must be written by one person. Songs with a co-writer are not accepted at this time.
