The BJC Scholars Fund was established and funded by BJC HealthCare in response to community needs identified by the Ferguson Commission. It is administered through The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis for college-bound high school seniors who reside in counties where BJC hospitals are located. Applicants may pursue a bachelor’s degree in any field or subject. Awarded students will receive a scholarship of up to $12,000 per academic year, which is renewable through graduation or up to ten semesters, provided the student continues to meet eligibility and selection criteria.
To be eligible for the BJC Scholars Fund, applicants must: be permanent residents (at the time of application) in applicable communities served by BJC Hospitals (St. Louis City, St. Louis, St. Charles, Crawford, and St. Francois Counties in Missouri; Madison County and St. Clair County in Illinois); plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit four-year, in-state public institutions (or any out-of-state school that allows in-state tuition reciprocity); have a 2.0 GPA; and demonstrate financial need.
