AWIS New Jersey STEM Scholarships

• Scholarship Description
• The AWIS NJ Essay Competition is an opportunity for graduating high school senior women entering a STEM program in college to be recognized for their accomplishments and their writing and interviewing skills. Three finalists will receive award certificates and cash scholarships. The competition is also open to rising senior women, the top three of whom will receive award certificates.

  Your submission should include: a recommendation letter (from the adult who has interacted with you professionally); a completed, online application; and a 500-word essay on an assigned topic. The AWIS NJ Annual Scholarship Competition is an opportunity to reach out and conduct a brief interview with a New Jersey connected female scientist in any content area that interests you. This is an opportunity to learn more about someone you already know, or to meet a scientist who interests you.
