Scholarship Description

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas (SPSFNWA) provides vital support to single parents pursuing post-secondary education at local universities, community colleges, and trade schools.

Scholarship Details

  • Supports single parents pursuing a range of academic programs including diplomas, degrees, and licensure
  • Applications must be submitted through the Submittable platform
  • Scholarships offered three times annually

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a single parent residing in Benton, Carroll, Madison, or Washington County, Arkansas
  • Legal U.S. resident or hold DACA status
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Have low to moderate income
  • Have completed or be in the process of completing the FAFSA
  • Be enrolled in an eligible program at an approved local institution

Application Process

  1. Visit the SPSFNWA website and locate the scholarship application via Submittable
  2. Create a free Submittable account or log in using Google or Facebook credentials
  3. Complete the application form; you can save and return to a draft if needed
  4. Upload required documents and answer all application questions
  5. If any submitted information changes, request to edit your submission through Submittable
  6. Check your email regularly and safelist Submittable notifications to ensure you receive updates
  7. Submit your completed application before the deadline
