The Center for Inquiry is pleased to announce the #ScienceSaves High School Video Scholarship for College-Bound High School Seniors! All our lives have been improved by the discoveries of science. Describe an experience in your life that demonstrates that science does indeed save. The experience can be something that happened to you or someone you know. Create a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?”
Your video must be submitted online through the ScienceSaves website. Videos must be no longer than 30 seconds long (0:30). Videos must be in English. Videos must be exported in one of the following video codecs: .MP4, .AVI, .MOV. Videos must be a minimum quality of 720p resolution, preferably 1920x1080 pixels. If you are filming with a smartphone, record the video horizontally, not vertically. Your video must not include any names of students. In addition to your video, your submission must include an Official Entry Form and an Official Liability Release Form. Video entries must not violate copyright laws; entries using copyright material without demonstrating permission of the owners will not be considered. First place will receive a $10,000 cash prize.
