I am a full-time working single mother who is trying to pursue a college degree. This scholarship would be of great financial help and a valuable investment into my furthering my college education.

Hi! My name is Liam Bigbee and I am excited to apply for the SILA foundation scholarship. I just finished my freshman year at Texas Christian University with a 3.79 GPA. I am studying pre-business currently with an interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, international business and business administration. My minor is spanish for business professionals which I am very excited about. I am applying for this scholarship to help out my family during this time. My parents both work very hard to support our family and do a great job doing so. This award would help my family with the cost of my school and would motivate me to work even harder in my next 3 years.

I applied because I am trying to go into finance and the SILA scholarship would allow me to further understand my field by helping me attend Penn STate and later transfer to Cornell University.

I applied for this scholarship because I am a young woman who works full time to support myself. My parents don't help pay for anything. I want to return to school without having to worry about paying for it along with my other bills.

Since then, more and more colleges and universities have quietly adopted test-optional merit aid policies to complement their currently test-optional admissions. [...]

by Izzy Hall

Here at Scholarships.com, we connect students with scholarships that can help alleviate the amount of student loans they need to take out to pay for college. These “no student loans” colleges replace student loans in financial aid packages with additional scholarships and grants to help fund a student’s tuition. Students accepted into these schools will pay much less than the cost of tuition and thus will not be as burdened with student debt. [...]
