Dajah C  on 10/12/2020 1:09:31 AM

Hello! My name is D’ajah Charles, I’m 17 as of right now. I have been in Health Science for 3/4 years of my high school years— and i was involved in the HOSA program club. My goal is to become a Dental Assistant, and go back later to become a Registered Nurse. I am currently training to become a CNA before i graduate, which i plan on working as, as i train to become a DA. The reason i ask of you for this scholarship is because I work part time as a cashier at Zaxbys, I don’t make a lot, and as someone with a single parent, it’s a everyday struggle to really save money for the future. I try and manage as much as i can, but I don’t think i will never be able to save enough money for college. So i am here today, asking you to please grant me this. I’m not a perfect A student, I know this, I know i’m not the best student you could ever meet, But i work as hard as i can with as much as i can. I can promise you, the money you grant me, grant to my future, will NOT go to waste. Thank you for your time!

University to Give New Students Free Laptops for Filing the FAFSA

April 6, 2021

by Izzy Hall

The coronavirus made laptops a necessity for college students. Where before students without personal computers or laptops could use on-campus computers and provided software to meet the technological needs of their courses, the shift last spring to online classes necessitated that students have a stable internet connection and a compatible device. While the majority of students were able to meet this requirement, according to a study by EDUCASE, some students found themselves without a modern laptop that could run the most up-to-date browser, use RAM-heavy software or keep up even with reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. One university has announced a unique remedy for this technical situation. [...]
