The purpose of the PLS Foundation Scholarships is to promote, improve and encourage the profession and practice of land surveying in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by providing financial assistance to those persons intending to pursue, or who are currently pursuing, an education in surveying with an ultimate goal of becoming practicing Professional Land Surveyors.
Eligibility
- US Citizen
- Pennsylvania resident
- Enrolled in or accepted to a two-year Surveying Technology Program or a four-year Bachelor of Science Program in Land Surveying.
Application Requirements
- Applicant must submit copies of SAT scores.
- Applicant must submit high school or college transcripts with completed transcript release from a guidance office or registrar’s office.
Scholarship Selection
The scholarship recipients will be chosen by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees based upon achievements, content of responses, grammar, presentation and an advisor’s evaluation. Announcement of the recipients will be made in July of each year. The Foundation will not discriminate against any person in the selection process on the basis of age, race, religion, sex, ancestry or national origin.
