  • Scholarship Description
  • The Andrew "Sparky" Seever Scholarship is a $2,000 SCHOLARSHIP for post high-school education including college, university, tech or trade programs. Candidates must be diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy and be a resident of the state of Indiana. The recipient may choose to attend an institution outside of the state of Indiana. Applicants will be evaluated based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and other activities as well as personal character.

Carpenter Comps College Costs for 33 Iowans

An Iowa Carpenter sent 33 Iowan students he never met to college with the $3 million he had in savings. Prior to his death in 2005, Dale Schroeder told his attorney that he wanted to direct his will money towards sending underprivileged students to college.
