  • Multiples of Illinois (also known as Illinois Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc.) is offering SEVEN scholarships for higher education! There are five scholarships available to parents of multiples and two scholarships available to any daughter or son of multiples of Illinois member. There are five $150 scholarships chosen at random to any mother or father of multiples. There are two $250 Scholarships chosen at random to any son or daughter of Multiples of Illinois member. Recipients of the Scholarships will be asked to attend the Multiples Convention Luncheon in October for a formal presentation.

    For the “parent of multiples” scholarship applicants must be a mother/father of Multiple Birth Children (twins, triplets, quads, or more), a current member of Multiples of Illinois, not have been recipient of the 2018 Multiples of Illinois Scholarship, demonstrate participation (past and present) in Multiples of Illinois, local mothers/parents of multiples club or other community activities.

    For the “daughter/son of an IOMOTC Member” scholarship applicants must be a daughter/son of Multiples of Illinois current member, parent must demonstrate participation (past and present) in Multiples of Illinois, local mothers/parents of multiples club or other community activities. $43M in Loans Forgiven for Students of Closed Colleges

The federal government discharged more than $43 million in student loan debt for former students of recently closed for-profit colleges. Students who attended programs operated by Education Corporation of America, Dream Center Education Holdings, Vatterott College and Charlotte School of Law will be able to qualify for a full discharge of their federal loans if they were enrolled when their college closed or withdrew within 120 days of the official closure date and didn’t transfer to another institution, according to Inside Higher Education.
