Applicants for the Federation of Houston Professional Women Educational Foundation must be female, residents of Texas, plan to attend an accredited Texas college or university, and have completed at least 30 semester hours of credit as of December of the year prior to the award at an accredited Texas college or university. Applicants must be enrolled to take 6 or more credits and have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Scholarship awards are limited to cover only tuition, fees, and books. Amounts awarded to successful candidates are at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or higher and completed coursework is 30 credit hours or more as of December of the year prior to the award. Most recent college and/or university transcript must show record of academic progress. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable. Evidence of altered transcripts will immediately disqualify the application. Completed essay responses are original work, current, and meet minimum and maximum word limits. Past scholarship recipients carry forward previously submitted responses. Essay responses are free of grammar and spelling errors. Applicants may type directly or paste essay responses into the question text area. Required documents are scanned or converted to PDF files and submitted with the application. Grounds for disqualification include not meeting eligibility requirements, incomplete application, and misleading responses or dishonesty. Qualifying applications must be submitted and received by the February 28 deadline.
