Good afternoon, my name is Brisa. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I'm the daughter of two hard working parents who immigrated here for a brighter future. My family is what inspires me to keep going. They motivate to be someone in this world, an individual who impact someones life in some sort, an individual who saves people. I will be the first generation in my family to go to college. I will continue to strive to my future no matter how many brides I cross. My parents came here to the United States speaking no English. They struggle and continue to struggle everyday but never complain because they know they have a family that they need to support. They never give up, they always look forward no matter how hard life gets. That's what's in my head everyday to propel me and that is why I am applying to this scholarship.

Hello my name is Novalee. I come from a family that is not big in education. Me being the first to go to college is a huge thing to my family and I. They are there with me to help get what I deserve. I am currently accepted into UW Parkside, but I have no idea how I am going to pay for my college. Quitting a sport that I love so much just to get a job I start next week is heartbreaking, and would also hurt if I also have to quit track too in the upcoming spring. It would mean the world to me to have this opportunity so that I don't have to have this stress. Thank you for your time and God bless!

My name is Vaughn and I come from a small town in West Virginia. I am the oldest to two brothers who will also have to attend college. I'm paying for college myself and am interested in a lot of scholarships. Coming from a small town, I know the struggle to be able to make it out in the real world. That's why I'm applying for this scholarship.

Hi, im come from a big family. I'm the middle child in both my households, and I'm the first one to leave our state of Alaska to go to college somewhere else! I am a senior this year and am really focusing on scholarships this year. I am trying to help myself through college so my parents dont have to. I come from a split family and I have 3+ siblings at each house, so I want them to support them and not worry about me with college money. This scholarship would help out me a lot! Thank you!

Hi, My name is Shareeka and I come from Daytona Beach Fl. I am the first sibling out of 8 to attend college. I am also a single mother of beautiful girl named Trinity. One of my long term goals have always been to finish college not only for myself but my daughter and family. I want to lead by example and show my family that you can achieve anything possible no matter your situation. I am currently in school for Psychology and plan on furthering my education once I graduate with my Bachelors. Financially its been difficult for me to focus on school and work because of my finances. This scholarship will help me out tremendously, I pray whoever read this comment find it in their heart to bless me with it. Thanks, God Bless

Hi there, I come from from a big family, plus I am the oldest sibling in my house hold let alone the only girl, and the first to graduate with an associates degree trying to go and achieve my bachelors degree. My family struggles a lot now with what we do, and is an even bigger struggle of trying to get me into attend a 4- year college. I am a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and now being able to see that it is possible for me to achieve my dreams and obstacles I am forever grateful. My mother is a single mother and we cannot afford to get me into school at the moment. Any amount possible that I may be able to receive would mean the world to me and I will always be grateful.
