  • Scholarship Description
  • CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship was established to ensure that African-American or Black students pursuing a degree in the performing arts receive financial assistance. Performing arts includes theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching bands, etc. Selected applicants will be constituents of a CBC member’s district. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I never have applied. but i realize how creative I am . I always shoot for the top in the opportunity is offered.

Yes, I did apply because I love dancing it's my passion I've been dancing since I was 3 years old, and not to mention I'm obsessed so for me to make varsity as a freshman is a huge deal for me. you know all my life I've been getting bullied for dancing and singing they would always say. "Hey fat girl gets off the stage while you still have a chance to be alive." but if I'm being honest all those negative comments never made me stop they actually made me stronger. so for as long as I'm breathing I will stand and dance any day I want to.
