Scholarships of $3,000 will be awarded to full-time students (women and minority students), enrolled in at least their second semester and at least two semester-equivalent courses, currently pursuing a graduate degree at any accredited academic institution in the United States and living in the United States in an eligible major that supports the mission of AFCEA Educational Foundation.
Scholarship Details
- $3,000 scholarships awarded to full-time graduate students (women and minority students) enrolled in their second semester or beyond
- Funds cover tuition and course-related expenses, including fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for coursework
- Expected graduation date cannot be in the same year the scholarship is awarded
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Graduate-level student enrolled in at least two semester-equivalent courses in their second semester or later
- Current overall GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Enrolled in a STEM-related field that aligns with AFCEA's mission, such as:
- Aerospace engineering, astronomy, computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mathematics, network security, telecommunications engineering, and other related fields

Please provide a brief synopsis of your relevant work experience and a brief personal statement of your future career goals upon graduation. Explain how your academic and career goals align to the mission of AFCEA Educational Foundation.

- Provide a synopsis of your relevant work experience and a statement of future career goals, explaining how they align with AFCEA’s mission
- Include a brief summary of financial need
- Submit the following required documents:
- Current official graduate transcript from the school Registrar's Office
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty in your major field of study
- Current résumé
- Undergraduate transcript (official or unofficial)
If your transcript does not show your classes in progress, please submit documents showing current classes. If electronic submission of your transcript is not possible, please send the official document to the AFCEA address listed above to arrive by the deadline date. Optionally, applicants may also submit a third letter of recommendation.
