The Ohio News Media Foundation will award a scholarship to a minority high school senior in Ohio who plans to major in a field relevant to the newspaper industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications degree program at an accredited college or university within the United States for the coming academic year. Applicants must be graduating from an Ohio high school with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants should be African American, Hispanic, Asian American, or American Indian.
Applicants must include an official high school transcript, a 500-750 word autobiography, and two letters of recommendation with their application. Applicants can be submitted online or by U.S. Mail. The Ohio News Media Foundation, in alignment with its mission of achieving the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in all phases of journalism and newspaper publishing, awards scholarships to high school and collegiate students annually.
