I am currently a junior in high school looking for ways to make college less expensive on my parents. I play golf and I have played golf for many years, I have put the work and the effort into it to possibly earn an athletic scholarship; but, if I do not earn one then college might not be an option for me. This scholarship would help me because every dollar helps and I believe I have pushed hard enough and done enough to earn and deserve this. I am academically well rounded, I have maintained all As since middle school, I have received multiple awards for my gpa, and I have been in many honor societies. On the golf course as well I have earned many awards for things other than my scores- I have won the "WTJCT Sportsmanship Award", the "TJGT Coaches Integrity Award", and I have been applauded for always having integrity and doing the right things on the course even when no one is around to do or say anything.

Although, I’m already a student at Webster University, it will be extremely difficult to earn and save money for tuition payments while, at the same time, constantly training and improving my sports career. Receiving a scholarship or grant would allow me to focus and maintain high marks in my studies, while also allowing me the time I need to achieve my goal of becoming an Olympic wrestling champion. I ask that you please consider me for your scholarship program so that I may achieve full ability in my future sports and business careers.

University to Give New Students Free Laptops for Filing the FAFSA

April 6, 2021

by Izzy Hall

The coronavirus made laptops a necessity for college students. Where before students without personal computers or laptops could use on-campus computers and provided software to meet the technological needs of their courses, the shift last spring to online classes necessitated that students have a stable internet connection and a compatible device. While the majority of students were able to meet this requirement, according to a study by EDUCASE, some students found themselves without a modern laptop that could run the most up-to-date browser, use RAM-heavy software or keep up even with reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. One university has announced a unique remedy for this technical situation. [...]
