  • The You First Foundation is honored to support families who have been adversely affected by traumatic medical events by awarding scholarships to students to continue their education. Each year through the generous financial contributions of the community, the foundation awards deserving students with scholarships up to $6,000. Since beginning the program, the You First Foundation has awarded over $116,000 in scholarships. The You First Foundation is a charitable organization that was formed by employees of First Service Credit Union after the loss of a beloved friend and colleague from a brain aneurysm. The foundation's mission is to improve the lives and educational opportunities of those affected by traumatic medical events.

    This scholarship is designed to assist students of all ages in furthering their education. In addition to being affected by a traumatic medical event, the applicant must be a Texas resident who is a high school graduate or GED recipient. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational school within the United States.
