The Roger J. Clouatre Memorial Scholarship was established in January 2002 by the Clouatre Family. This scholarship supports graduates of public high schools in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, who have a record of sound achievement in their studies and are good citizens. Students must show leadership qualities within and beyond their peer group as well as take initiative in school or the broader civic life of the community. A GPA of at least 3.0 is required. The scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $500.
Apart from the application, applicants must also submit: the most recent transcript; an ACT/SAT score report; an academic resume; a letter of recommendation; and an essay (the following must be outlined: goals for the future; extracurricular activities; scholastic and other educational achievements; honors and awards; positions of leadership; and a record of distinctive and significant contributions to the school and/or to the larger community).
