Valparaiso University offers numerous Lutheran scholarships to students. The Kretzman Scholarship is offered to students who are either Lutheran, or who have graduated from a Lutheran High School. In order to be eligible for the Kretzman Scholarship, applicants must first complete an application for admission. This award is $1,500 per year. Students will be notified along with their offer of admission.
Valparaiso University makes education opportunities accessible to students from diverse backgrounds by offering financial aid to 90 percent of its first-time freshmen. Valpo offers students demonstrating exceptional high school achievement a variety of academic scholarships and merit awards. Students may also qualify for additional aid from federal and State of Indiana grant programs. To maintain any merit or academic-based award from Valpo, a student must maintain full-time enrolment and Satisfactory Academic Progress.
