To be eligible for the Taiwanese American Scholarship Fund, applicants must: be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. permanent resident (holders of a Permanent Resident Card) and a direct blood descendant of a Taiwanese citizen; be a high school senior or first-year college student residing in the United States; plan to attend a University or College as a full-time first or second-year student in the upcoming fall (if selected, high school seniors must submit college acceptance letter for verification); have a 3.0 GPA; and have a household income at or below the federal/state/county low income level.
All awardees must submit a short YouTube video, as well as submit a transcript and three references. Do not mail additional materials, such as resumes, certificates, or newspaper clippings, unless requested. Established in 2014, the Taiwanese American Scholarship Fund (TASF) focuses on providing financial assistance to economically-challenged Taiwanese American youth. Our mission is to assist all Taiwanese American youth to have the opportunity to pursue higher education and build the foundation for a better future.
