Every year, the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame awards scholarships to outstanding Oregon student-athletes who will be attending Oregon colleges. Recipients are chosen on the basis of financial need, athletic accomplishment, academic achievement, and community involvement. Applicants must have a GPA of at least a 3.3. The Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and Museum launched the Joy of Sport Program during the 1999-2000 school year and qualifying schools and programs have enthusiastically received the program.
In addition to completing the application, you must also include: an SAR Report; official transcripts; SAT/ACT forms; an athletic achievement list; an academic achievement list; a community service list; a work experience list; at least one letter of recommendation; a personal letter (one-page maximum) on why you should win the scholarship; and a recent photo and biography (Biography - maximum one page).
