Elizabeth River Crossings Good Citizen Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• The Elizabeth River Crossings Good Citizen Scholarship is awarded to one high school senior at each of the eight public high schools in Portsmouth and Norfolk, and one home schooled senior from both Portsmouth and Norfolk, for their education and demonstration of citizenship within their school and community. This is a $6,000 scholarship dispersed in $1,500 annual increments across four years for any college, trade school or post-secondary institution expense, so long as the student can provide proof of enrollment each year. The completed application and essay along with two letters of recommendation must be submitted online by the due date to be eligible for consideration.

  The purpose of Elizabeth River Crossings (ERC) is to support the infrastructure connecting the communities in Hampton Roads. Our mission is to give back to our community while striving for the highest level of safety and care. As part of their commitment to connecting the communities of Portsmouth and Norfolk, ERC is proud to contribute to local organizations as well as partnerships across the region. They focus their efforts in providing resources for education assistance, health initiatives, homelessness & hunger relief efforts, and improving the environment.
