Founded in 2014, the Lyceum Program remains the only University program that studies liberty, capitalism, the American founding, and the importance of moral character. These ideas are explored through readings of great works in philosophy, history, economics, and literature along with discussions let by experienced and knowledgeable faculty. The Lyceum Program curriculum fulfills the requirements for a minor in political science (the "Political and Legal Theory" minor.)
All Lyceum Scholars receive a $10,000 scholarship, which is disbursed over their four years at Clemson University. The program is open to incoming freshmen in all majors. Those interested in becoming Lyceum Scholars should apply in their senior year of high school to Clemson University and to the Lyceum Scholars Program.
