Maddison B  on 2/10/2021 11:49:36 AM

Hello my name is Maddison Brenneis. I am a high school senior and I think this scholarship would be a great opportunity to help me achieve my goal in my education. I want to go to college to major in kindergarten education. I want to be able to teach young children because education is the foundation for everything we do. I know it is something that all people don't necessarily love. I am fortunate enough to have gotten education as my mother moved my younger brother around all the time. We had little to no money at some points so this money would be really useful to my education. I think it is important to educate those who are willing to put in the work. I for one am willing to put in the work for my education, since I have been doing so since I have been in school. School and education are something I value as it can be an escape to something you actually enjoy. You can expand your mind to newer levels of education which is why college is so important to me. I would be the first of my mothers children to go to college. College has always been my long term goal from the time I was younger I have changed my idea of what my major would be a million times. I finally came to the conclusion of kindergarten education because I am good with children and I love learning. I hope you take me into consideration. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope to hear back from you.

Krista H  on 2/2/2021 11:00:33 AM

My parents are both currently earning their own degrees in college and I also have a twin sister that will attend college, so unfortunately, I will be paying for my own schooling. Thank you for reading this!

McKenzie B.  on 1/13/2021 11:22:11 AM

Hello my name is McKenzie and I am a high school senior in a small town in Illinois. I would like this scholarship, because it would help me so much to help me pay for the rest of my college. I am going to college to get my Exercise Science degree and later to become a physical therpaist. I got a athletic scholarship at the college I m going to, for track and cross country. I was so happy to even think about getting a scholarship for a sport after tearing both of my acls and having to have surgery on them. I was so afraid no coach would want me after hearing about my knees, but these coaches wanted me anyways. It was the best day when I signed, because it proved that when every kid was having fun I was practicing and studying to keep my 3.6 gpa. I am a four sport athlete so I was always busy practicing. When I had free time I was working out or studying the whole time to see my goal in front of me of getting a scholarship in a sport. During that my mom was the only income, because my dad has a stomach problem where he can not work. Any free money we had went to helping me with my sports, which caused us to lose my childhood house, where I had to move into my great grandmas old house. My Dad now has a job, but not enough to help us, so I would love this scholarship to help me pay for the rest of my college, so I do not have to let my mom pay for my college, because she has done so much for me already.

Caroline C.  on 1/12/2021 12:30:48 PM

Aaliyah G. H.  on 1/11/2021 8:44:12 PM

My names Aaliyah Gallegos Herrera. I am a student at Pueblo County High School. I am and have been the class of 2021’s vice president for four years now. I have volunteered and donated my time to many different organizations. My freshmen year I had volunteered at a new place called the Soup Kitchen in Pueblo, CO. The Soup Kitchen is a place the needy would come to eat meals throughout the day. As I was serving these people, I noticed something that really shocked me. They were all so very thankful and kind. None of them deserved to be in the predicament they were in, but they were there, and they were making the best of it. People of all colors and family sizes came in to enjoy a hot meal. After they finished their meal, they all picked up very well and were not shy to thank us on the way out. This really changed my view on these people. Growing up had always thought that these people were bad and dirty. When in all actuality there the exact same as me and you. They just are in a crossroad right now and need a little bit of help. It’s okay to get help because we all go through it at our own times. Realizing the stereo type that I was under it really made me realize you can’t judge a book by its cover, everyone has their own story.

Briana H  on 1/11/2021 6:57:15 PM

Chase M  on 1/8/2021 5:54:12 PM

My name is Chase Masters and I am presently a Junior at Riverview High School in Sarasota Florida. Scholarships and student loans will be the only way I can afford to go to college. I was born in 2003 at 23.6 days gestational. They told my mom I wouldn’t live past 72 hours and if I did there was only a 11% chance I would lead a “normal functioning life”. I was in the NICU for 6 months and I made it home. My mom lost everything as she had to pay the medical bills. Two years after I came home my mom went to college to become a nurse so she could give me the best care and make the informed decisions on my health. She is presently a Psychiatric RN. With only her salary as a single Mom and keeping me in the best school districts she has not been able to save any money for me to go to college. I may not have the 4.0 GPA or hours of voluntary service, but, I try my best and never give up. I am a fighter and a survivor.

Danielle M  on 1/8/2021 3:47:36 PM

Hello, my name is Danielle Mooring. I just started college in December. It’s been three years since I’ve been in school, but I’m surprisingly doing well. It was a spur of the moment to start school. Once I made my mind up I went for it. I don’t expect my parents to pay for anything since I’m an adult so I’m basically alone in this matter. I’m going to school to become a game warden. I live in Texas so I know I definitely benefit here. Becoming a game warden has always been a passion of mine. I love fishing, hunting, etc. To know I can enforce the law is even a bigger passion of mine.

Alyssa F  on 1/5/2021 10:12:12 PM

Hi my name is Alyssa Frey. I’m currently a senior at North Penn High School. One of my life long goals is to build a successful Photography Business. This scholarship would contribute greatly to helping me achieve my goals by offsetting the cost of my college tuition. I plan to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg VA and the average tuition is $33,000 a year. With that being said I do not qualify for much financial aid so at the moment I am relying on loans which is really stressful and will hang over my head for 10+ years. I truly believe that this scholarship can help me achieve my dreams by helping me pay of college in a timely manner and work faster towards my goals and dreams.

Elle A.  on 12/21/2020 1:53:23 PM

Hello, my name is Elle Appell and I am a high school senior. In the future if all goes well, I hope to graduate from college with a bachelor's degree in Forestry. I live in Arizona and there is only one college in state that has forestry. Forestry is not a well known profession but there are many areas of jobs in that field of work. They include Wildland firefighting and Loggers which are 2 of the most dangerous jobs in the industry. I plan on studying climate change and helping the forests and wildlife for a better future for generations to come. Last year I took a 1 year course on Fire science, and studied Wildland firefighting as well. A firefighter is what I wanted to be until I learned about the entire Forestry department where you can study the outdoors and there are multiple jobs you can choose from. Right now I am taking an EMT class and studying more about professions in that area also. Thank you for your time.

Savannah E  on 12/10/2020 8:52:09 PM

My name is Savannah Early, I am heading into my second semester of my Freshman year in college. My goal in life is simple yet will take a lot of work: I want to get a Business Management degree and get certified in bartending so one day I can open up my own bar. From that I will save up for a few years and open up a restaurant, and hopefully one day I will be able to mix the two together to start out a club. Once I get going and I can save up enough I would love to create a chain of all three businesses. If I am able to win this scholarship, that means I don't have to worry my parents of losing my housing again. I would be able to focus more on school work instead of "When is this money due...how long do I have to scrape this together...etc."

Christina T  on 12/4/2020 1:27:41 PM

I am a high school senior with a 3.7 GPA and have big plans for my future. So far my plan is to attend Arizona State University majoring in the field of Chemistry and to prepare myself to become a commissioned officer in the United States Navy through the Navy Recruit Officer Training Corp Program that is provided. My biggest issue with college is where my family and I will get the money to pay for it. I have a twin sister who is just as smart, if not smarter than I am, and that means my family will be paying for two people to go to college at the same time. If I could get this scholarship it could help my family and I pay for some out of the many expenses to come. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hannah W  on 12/3/2020 12:30:29 PM

Hello! My name is Hannah and I am currently a high school senior in small-town Texas. Growing up I had my little heart set out on going to college, so much so I would keep raggedy comp books filled with different college pathways I dreamt of taking stashed under my bed. As time went on the stark reality of the challenges I would have to face in order to make those dreams come true became apparent. However, I never faulted away from my academic dreams and proud to say I will be my family's first generation high school graduate of 2021! By having the honor of being awarded this scholarship I will be able to pay for all of my college expenses and relieve myself of the financial stress and burden that comes with those bills.

It has been very normalized to take out student loans to go to college. But the truth is, we can all go to college debt free. It is about working hard and making smart decision. Leila W  on 11/18/2020 2:41:49 PM

What’s up! I’m a high school senior looking to further my education in order to teach English to high school or college level students. School has no spark, no passion, and I’m looking to put that back into my future students when they come into a classroom I will be teaching if you give me the honor of accepting this scholarship. I’ve already been accepted into my dream school and I can beg to have this scholarship and tell you my GPA as a bragging right (3.6) but I am certain that’s overdone with these applications these days. When my friend and I stayed up all night, drinking Dr. Pepper while we played video games, I never thought that the company would give me a chance to prove myself academically. If you give me a chance, I can prove to you that this scholarship is going to the right person, well I already have because hi, I’m Leila.

Ella J  on 11/17/2020 9:29:50 PM

It would be a lot easier for me to focus on my career after college if I was able to get some help affording it. Thanks for your consideration.

Joanna Zaragoza here :), coming from a low-income Hispanic family is not easy. Unfortunately, I had to take a gap to save up for college. I don't have any regrets and won't because I will get to where I want to in life. my goal is to study fashion design either abroad or here at my home state since those options are the cheapest. I have always made my dresses and clothing from a very young age and knew since middle school this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Although I do need that financial help to pay for college to work for a fashion degree and finally be able to work for a fashion company. this career may sound pathetic or unimportant as a doctoral degree would but this is my dream and it's not looked well upon on me since I do have the brains to work in the medical field but that's not what makes me happy its sawing its drawing just being able to create my own ideas and to work for a company and later on in life starting a boutique, my goal in life is to be a fashion designer.

Remington A  on 11/2/2020 1:43:55 PM

I applied for this scholarship to relieve stress my parents and I have for paying the large tuition of college. My name is Remington Adams and I live in southern Indiana. I am going to Murray State University for an equine veterinary degree. I am so thankful for the opportunity to apply to this scholarship. If I were to win this I would use it to every advantage that I could. I plan on taking any money I have left over from school I plan on giving it to the people with animals who cannot afford the best care and treatment for their loved animals.

Ashley D.  on 10/29/2020 2:46:19 PM

My name is Ashley, and I am pursuing the pre-medical field in Veterinary Medicine. Both of my parents came to America as immigrants, my father, a refugee of the Vietnam war, and my mother immigrated from the Philippines. They both did not have much coming to America, so they try their best to provide for me. I want to make them proud since my mother did not have the opportunity that I was given to further my education. I plan to transfer to the University of Houston after I finish my basics at community college, however I am afraid I will struggle to balance bills and having enough money to continue my education. This scholarship would benefit me immaculately if I had one less thing worry about financially for me and my parents. Thank you for your consideration and this opportunity.

Abigail B  on 10/28/2020 7:18:20 PM

Hi my name is Abigail, I am currently a senior in high school. I am in the process of doing my college applications right now. Although I am undecided on which school exactly I want to attend, I do know how costly college is. Throughout my high school career I have worked very hard to maintain a 4.5 gpa along side with being vice president of a club. I am applying for this scholarship to help my parents and ease some of the finical burden. I am dedicated and passionate about everything I do, and i’m excited to see what university I end up at. This scholarship would not only help me but my family as well. Thank you

Christopher L  on 10/27/2020 9:33:07 PM

Hello. My name is Christopher. My friends call me Chris. I am a high school senior in Delaware. I study culinary arts, and run track for my school. I am also a member of a track team outside of school. I've been an honors student my entire life, and have only missed one day of school during that time. My being the first in my family to go to college is so special to me, which is why this scholarship is so important. I want to be a wealth manager, so that I can help so many people with saving for their dreams and retirement, starting with my friends and family. Although my parents didn't attend college, they've instilled in me so may values. With my mother being a cancer survivor, I Know what strength look like. I try every day to learn from their teachings and experiences. This scholarship would ease a lot of the burden from their shoulders, along with the stress of worry. Thank you very much for offering such a caring scholarship. I hope to be considered. Whoever is awarded, I'm sure will be deserved. Thank you.

Lashun B  on 10/27/2020 11:54:10 AM

Paula Mae P  on 10/27/2020 1:51:45 AM

Born and raised in Southern Philippines, it is a blessing to come here to America to pursue the American Dream. I am currently living with my brother Kevin because apartments can be very pricey, and my puppy Derek is a Border Collie Aussie. Parents are named Imelda and David; they now live in South Carolina with my little brother Alex due to their job demand. Sadly, after three-months, dad got fired due to the pandemic. I spend most of my free time doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, walking Derek to the park, skateboarding, and working out. Aside from that, I also am very interested in furthering my knowledge to study Medicine. I plan on going to Medical School to pursue a career or enter the program of either Plastic Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery. Hoping, when I graduate from Nursing school or in Biology since I will be changing my major into a Science course, I will pass the MCAT at 90th Percentile and get at least a high GPA, as these are essential requirements for med school. After Medical school, I hope to match one of the best General Surgery programs to proceed with my fellowship for either plastics or cardio. Trying to pursue the American Dream will be a rocky path for me. So far, it has been a journey for me to live without my parents and in a general Finance crisis, as college can be costly. This scholarship will help reduce stress from the financial crisis and help me focus on school.

Aidan A  on 10/26/2020 1:05:48 PM

My name is Aidan! I am pursuing a major in Chemistry and a minor in pre-dentistry. My goal in life is to become an orthodontist and to own my own dentistry. I have been accepted to a four-year university and I am going to pay for it myself. This scholarship will help drastically.

Christopher P  on 10/25/2020 4:26:35 PM

My name is Christopher, I am currently a high school senior. I am pursuing a degree in civil engineering! It has always been my dream to become a civil engineer. I have no father in the picture because he left when I was very young so it has just been me, my mother and brother. My mother and my brother has been working very hard for my future and I've been hoping to give back to them. I could use this scholarship to release at least some burden off my family's shoulders so they won't have to pay for my college journey. Thank you for your time.

Karyne F  on 10/23/2020 9:36:27 PM

My name is Karyne, I am a senior in high school. I am in the top 23% of my class with a 3.458 GPA. I've recently been accepted to GCU, I plan on majoring in biochemical engineering or Astrophysics; I would minor in theater and dance. I personally love to make peoples day a bit better and preforming usually helps with that. If I win this scholarship I could pay most of University off as far as books and tuition. I plan on using the campuses jobs in order to graduate completely debt free and jump into the field of my choice to help with vaccines and to make people laugh while on stage, or to just give them a hilarious theater show to lift their spirits, make them connect and feel emotions, and hopefully to give them the chance at having a better day.

Jesus T  on 10/21/2020 4:50:08 PM

I dream of owning my own business one day, but after I graduate College I would like to work at Space X in Brownsville, TX, Pipeline or Oil Field. I really could use this scholarship as my parents do not have the means to put me through college. My dad has had many Strokes and is in Heart Failure and was just placed a pacemaker recently. I would like to show him how hard I can work in my career and help them financially and make my mom her Dream home.

Alaina C  on 10/19/2020 5:07:08 PM

I applied for this scholarship so I have a chance to attend my dream college. I have already been accepted however it is super expensive considering it is a University and I will be in the nursing program. I would like to be a Pediatric Nurse. Two of my most favorite things is children and helping people so I decided that a Pediatric Nurse would be the best job for me, however in order to achieve that dream I need to get the best education.

I had a baby late in life and it was a surprise. I had my tubes tied and had another baby. My 1st baby has autism so I'm going back to school to make sure that I can provide a better future for them and school is very expensive on top of all the expenses that encure due to his illness. I am a full time stay-at-home mother that works part time on the weekends and also goes to school. I don't want a hand out but if my hard work in life could get me a scholarship It would be greatly appreciated. All my extra money goes to taking care of them I never planned for them. I wouldn't change my life for the world if you'd like to know anything else about me just let me know.

Jorge A  on 10/15/2020 1:32:29 PM

Hi, my name is Jorge Antonio, I am currently a high school freshmen. I started collage with a global pandemic, and is hard to pay for tuition. Paying for my sister school, food, gas, water and many services is very difficult right now for me and my parents. Right now Im studying Electrical Engineering, but sadly that isn´t one of my dreams. Stephen M  on 10/14/2020 3:16:40 PM

My name is Stephen. I had intended to start college in August 2020, but my father passed away 4 days prior to the start of classes. I was unable to begin because I could not complete my student loan application in order to pay for the semester due to this unfortunate event. My father died without any life insurance nor did he ever contribute to my child support after my parents divorced. My mom has done her best to provide me with the things I needed in life but college is too great a financial strain. I graduated high school with a GPA 3.8 / 4.0 scale. I've held a part time job since I was a Junior in high school and am currently working full-time until I can begin my college journey in January 2021. I would love to obtain a degree in Robotics Engineering. I am legally blind in my left eye and would love an opportunity to help create a robotic eye or other robotic equipment that would aid a person with any type of physical impairment. I've dealt with many hardships throughout my young life by having a father with substance abuse. His addictions kept him out of my life and from having any real relationship with him. From his addictions, I've learned that working hard and keeping your eyes focused on a goal is the best way to succeed in life. I saw what addiction did to his life, relationships, and ultimately his unexpected passing. I want better for myself and my future, and I carefully weigh any choices and how they may effect my future. This scholarship would allow me to continue toward my goals and lessen the financial burden with student loans and financial contribution from my mother. I appreciate your consideration.

Cassandria H  on 10/14/2020 1:57:14 PM

This also will show my children that hard work pays off and that having a good education will get you far in life.

Bailey R  on 10/13/2020 10:29:06 AM

My name is Bailey, and I am currently a high school senior. I have already been accepted into the college of my choice, and am choosing to pursue a degree in Business Communications. After college I dream of becoming a marketing manager and hopefully working for a real estate company. Marketing houses has always been a dream of mine. Thank you for your time and I hope to be considered for this scholarship opportunity.

Whats up Doc?! I'm Ashlynn from Texas, I'm currently enrolled in a community college with so far ZERO student debt or loans, I have been paying out of pocket 100% by myself which we all know is expensive (hence the website.) I'm studying gen. science right now, thenI'll transfer to Texas state to get a PhD in neuroscience, I'll also take herbal med. science class outside of that and just finished a med certification course for THC and CBD! which are extremely rare to have in Texas! This scholarship would help me stay ahead, and give me a great start into having my own CBD/THC dispensary and hopefully one day my journey to help patients that previously have had no relief in Texas. Thank you for your time which I know is both limited and valuable. thank you for your consideration.

Pamela Padilla  on 10/8/2020 12:20:39 AM

I am looking for as many scholarships as possible to make this dream come true. Coming from a low-income background, my family can not afford an education like this and I do not want to burden them with any costs. With the ongoing pandemic, my dream is to work on the field and make a difference in our health care system.

Helo, my name is Aubrey and I have been accepted to my first school of choice to study for Contemplative Art Therapy with a minority Visual Arts. I am a lover of education and thrive in a mindfulness centered community which is why I am so excited to join my chosen university. I am so excited to attend and delve further into the new field of art therapy, increase my love of the arts, while also being able to be part of its wonderful ability to help soothe and benefit those with mental illnesses and disabilities. If I were to receive the scholarship, it would mean the hundreds of hours I spent studying and maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA, along with years of working, saving and summers busy with three or more jobs will all be worth the time and energy I put into them. Thank you for your time and consideration.

My family has always been in financial trouble and I could use this scholarship to pay for some of my debts that I already have from college. I am working hard on staying ahead in my classes and putting my best effort forward. I could use this scholarship so my parents don't have to scrap together to help with money to make sure that I have food, gas, tools and monthly tuition bills paid. Thank you for the consideration and your time.

Kathia Lisbeth G  on 10/7/2020 1:51:54 PM

I am a premedical college student at Lone Star College where I am currently taking my basics. The reason I am applying to the scholarship is because I do not have the funds to continue my education. I am first-generation in college from my entire family of 12+ people. This scholarship would help me continue my career to become a Neurosurgeon who helps and cures deadly diseases and illness.

Brianna B  on 10/6/2020 8:17:54 PM

I am a senior in high school and would really need this scholarship for college.

Denzel R  on 10/6/2020 12:51:29 PM

I am trying to transfer to a four-year university. I still have not finished community college, but I cannot truly invest myself in the program I am currently enrolled in. I am trying to pay the remaining balances I have, as well as the loans I had taken out. My parents are retiring soon before I even graduate college, so I want to lessen their financial burden, as they are growing old and frail. Most especially, I do not want to have regrets staying enrolled in my current program, but rather choosing to follow my own path, so I can carve out possibilities for others in the future to come.

Nadia A  on 10/6/2020 12:13:21 PM

I'm a high school senior in Texas. I come from a family that has worked there entire life to get what they want. I'm the second child in my family and I will be the first to go to college. I'm applying for this scholarship because my mom is a single mom and she is trying her best to get me where I want to be and so that I can become successful in life. I have watched my mom and my family struggle to get what they want. This scholarship would help me and my mom out so much.

Alyssa H.  on 10/6/2020 10:38:30 AM

I graduated high school in the class of 2020. I am taking a gap year and I'm trying to make money to help pay for college. My family has run into some financial problems throughout my four years of high school. I want to be able that I can attend college and can pay for college. My college is a very expensive which I chose to help me set up my future, but want to ensure I have enough money to pay for all four years in order for me to graduate.

Victoria B  on 10/5/2020 7:43:11 PM

my dram school is such an expensive college but I know I am meant to be there. It will encourage me in my future and keep me on track. The only issue is that I am paying for tuition all on my own.

Nicholia M  on 10/5/2020 2:23:23 PM

This would be my first time going to University (due to me only being a senior in Highschool). I see that others probably need it more then I do since they are returners to college, but I'd love to have the same opportunity as they do so that I would be the first Aerospace Engineer in my family. Also, my dad absolutely loves Dr. Pepper and drink a Two Liter ever other day!

Johnathan B  on 3/12/2020 4:19:26 PM

I am a returning College student, I had to take a break from school because of finances. College is very expensive especially when you are a minority in society. I am the first-generation cyber security major in my family. This college transition has taken a toll on my family as a whole. I have been applying to various scholarships to help relieve some of the debt that I have to pay back and to support my tuition of the upcoming fall semester.

Michael Johnson, Jr.  on 3/12/2020 1:28:27 PM

Coming from a family that knows the importance of education but doesn't have the necessary financial means to see me through is honestly heartbreaking. It is my mission to become a second-generation college student and first-generation law student and this generous scholarship would help me reach that goal of mine. As a senior in high school, I'm excited about my future but the financial burden is almost too much. This scholarship will allow me to graduate college with a degree in Political Science, which will ease the financial burden of law school.

Kiah H  on 3/12/2020 1:47:35 AM

I am applying for this scholarship as a high school senior headed off to college this upcoming fall. My single mother has just recently put my older brother into his first year of college and to make things more expensive she is going to back to college herself to further her education in the medical field. The last thing I want for my mother right now is to put another college tuition on her plate. I would like to pursue my dreams of having a high education without the burden of money. THANKS FOR CONSIDERING ME!

Anna P.  on 3/10/2020 7:14:23 AM

I am applying for this scholarship so I can hopefully attend an IV league college of my choosing. My mother is unemployed and I have financial aid as well. Hopefully, this scholarship will aid me in attending the right college/university for me so I can accomplish my dream.

Nathan W  on 3/9/2020 7:05:30 PM

I applied for this scholarship, but their process is very unproductive if you will. They do not tell you much of anything after you upload your video to their website. You find out nothing until you see the finalists on national television during the conference championship weekend throwing footballs at the target like they're basketballs (if you aren't a sports fanatic, that's not the right way to do that). If you are studying for a career that will keep you in school for a long time (nursing, lawyer, etc.) or if you go to a big-time football and expensive university (Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, etc.) then the odds are more in your favor with this scholarship. A little order and transparency would be nice, especially since this scholarship is on a national level.

Jacob Rice  on 3/9/2020 1:12:55 AM

I really need money because college is expensive.

Savannah R  on 3/6/2020 5:21:14 PM

I am with Eric S. We make too much for financial help as well but don't make enough for college. I was accepted into a 4-year college of my choice, one that offers my field of study, but it cost $25,000+ a year....that's over $100,000 for my 4-year stay. I will apply because I worked too hard (3.8 GPA) to not at least try. I graduate high school in May and would like to start my college classes this Fall.

Eric S  on 3/3/2020 9:31:21 PM

I've been backed into a corner in relations to my future. Either I work for the rest of my life with no higher education or I go 90,000 into debt because there is only one school that offers what I need. We have too much for financial aid but too little to afford college. I had everything planned but then they back fired and I missed crucial scholarship opportunities because of my first plans failing.

Kayla K  on 2/24/2020 2:50:38 PM

As a first generation American, I am excited to have the opportunity to get an education and want to take advantage of pursuing a college education, which has become a must in helping to stymie the recurring cycle of poverty in my community. The only way to do that is through better educating myself. I applied for this scholarship so I can go to college without worrying how I will pay for it and without taking a loan and further plunging my family and myself in debt. I trust I will be given consideration and the opportunity to make a dream of pursuing law reality.

Autumn J  on 2/24/2020 11:03:23 AM

I am applying for this scholarship for school so I can pursue my career without the stress of how I am going to pay for it. I consider myself as a responsible, content, hard working, determined, brave, courageous, confident, mature, and humble person. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to church and getting involved in activities that help me be more confident as a person. However, I need this scholarship to help pay my college career in order to pursue my career in the education field. This scholarship would not only help me, but it would also help my family.

Huntingdon is a private institute and any scholarship I can receive is greatly appreciated. We are a middle class family and do not qualify for any aid. Any additional funding would assist my family in my plan to continue my education.

I am applying for this scholarship because I am senior in high school. I want to pursue a career in Animal science and the only things preventing me from doing so are financial reasons.

Lauren W.  on 2/13/2020 12:12:12 PM

Anything can be achieved if you work hard enough for it. That is if you have the money and resources to do the hard work. From what I have been told, I have an incredible work ethic and I find myself to be very ambitious but so many opportunities have been lost due to lack of finances to support my dream. With this scholarship, I would be able to continue my hard work and attend a university that would provide all the proper tools I would need to get to where I want to be as an actor.

I want to change the world and make it a better place, but more importantly to me, I want to change people's worlds and give them hope like I was given by others.

Katharina J  on 1/26/2017 10:46:25 PM

Hello my name is Katharina Jackson. I am currently 17 and will hopefully be at Nicholls State in Louisiana. My idea for changing the world is helping those who need it the most. In this day and age people cant afford or keep up with the cost of medicine and live in horrible conditions in third world countries and even in our own. I plan to go for my bachelors degree in nursing and go to those countries and help the children who are in need for clean water, food, and also medicine to defeat the popular diseases in those areas. If i happen to win, i plan to use the money to pay for tuition, boarding, and also the most important part, books! With this money i will be able to become the first college bound child in my family and prove to them and you, through hard work, that this will not be a waste. I would be very ecstatic to have won this award but i would also be happy if someone else won! Thank you for giving us this opportunity.

Katelyn R  on 1/13/2017 12:30:22 PM

Hi my name is Katelyn Rivenbark. I am a 18 year old currently going to an early college about to graduate this spring with not just a high school diploma but also a degree in an associates of arts. My goal is to transfer to a four year school (hopefully UNCSA (the school of arts in of North Carolina)) and follow my passion in theatre. I know, theatre who cares about? Well to be quite frank a lot of people and my goal is to be so well rounded in all the fields of theatre from acting, to costume/set design, directing/producing, to even having my own theatre company and put on shows that help make audiences think and inspire others to help fix problems that are happening in not only today but in the future. Changing the world sometimes starts with being the inspiration for somebody and that’s what I want to be. I want to be the inspiration for future generations. I want to make a huge impact in my life and in the lives of other just as actress Audrey Hepburn made and how Lin-Manuel Miranda (creator of Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton). I would be so honored and blessed if I won Dr. Pepper’s Tuition Giveaway. Thank you.

Jacob S  on 12/18/2016 8:36:05 PM

I am so excited at this opportunity to tell Dr. Pepper and the world, how I plan to make a difference and change the world following my Bachelors degree. I am Jacob Sinclair-Steeves and I just received my acceptance letter to attend my first choice University. September of 2017, I will be enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Boston in the Nursing program and I can’t wait! Upon graduating, with my nursing degree, I hope to travel the United States and the world making a difference through educating others less fortunate than myself and in remote areas with simple ways to prevent the spread of disease and infection. Knowledge is the best tool we have to help those less fortunate than ourselves, to improve their lives. I want to share the knowledge I gain at the University of Massachusetts Boston with others and changing lives! I would like to connect with my genetic ancestry and provide nursing services on an American Indian reservation. Many of those living on American Indian reservations are living at or very much below the poverty level and lack the knowledge, as well as resources to live healthy lives. Lastly, I would like to travel to under developed countries that lack resources and knowledge to live healthy lives, as a result of lacking clean living conditions, clean drinking water, as well as many other important resources. Hopefully one day, I can participate in an organization, such as Operation Smile, being one of the team members crucial in giving back a child their beautiful smile. I plan to use the money received for tuition, books, and housing so that I may obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve my goals, ultimately sharing that knowledge gained in my four year journey, to become the best nurse I can be, by bestowing others with knowledge, who are less fortunate, to change their lives.

Danielle J  on 7/13/2016 12:38:26 AM

Hello my name is Danielle Jennings one of my goals is to complete 6 years of Psychology, so i can become a marriage and family therapist. Me taking psychology courses will help the world in so many ways! See I live in the state of Illinois, who is going through a money crisis sadly they have chosen to shut down psych-wards, and many other hospitals to help several mentally sick patients. Leaving hundreds of people walking the streets ill and hurt. Me becoming a psychologist will not only help our communities it will help make our world feel a little more safe; knowing not so many people are on the street acting out just, because they are confused, or doesn't have their medication. The only problem is in order to complete my successful journey with all of my heart and knowledge i will need money just to attend a college/university. Every little bit counts, and if you pick me to be the winner of the Dr.Pepper tuition giveaway it will be much appreciated. This is my goal, and how it will make our world better a step at a time.

Cassandra P  on 7/10/2016 9:22:06 PM

My goal is to go into stem cell research? This research will change the world and I may not be the single person that causes it to happen. But if I can contribute to the defeat of cancer or find that key that unlocks the possibility of finding the cure then I helped the world become a better place. I want to be a part of that and hope to make the cure happen. I am currently going to Tulsa Community College and am trying to decide where to attend after graduation from TCC.

Ever since I was young I have always wanted to help other, first by nurse, then by cook and now I have set my heart as a rough carpenter. I have found the I prefer to work with my hands instead of computer, I also found I prefer working with wood instead of metal.

Kasie S  on 6/28/2016 6:26:55 PM

My name is Kasie Sands and I will be a freshman at East Carolina University this fall. All my life I have lived and worked on farms; whether the farm I work on be with livestock or Tobacco in North Carolina my family and I worked hard at both. I will be the first in my family to attend a university. My parents raised me to know that I should always help others and if there is an opportunity to learn, I should take it. I combine both of these lessons from my parents learning about health care. In June of 2015, I was nominated and chosen as a delegate for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders just before volunteering at the local hospital's Physical Therapy unit. Shortly before that adventure I had attended a diversity camp (Catalyst Conference) at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a forensic science camp at Appalachian State University. These experiences have all left great impacts on me, mutually a craving for more knowledge. My family -as most rural families- do not have the money to always fund my well-rounded enrichment. Rural families do not always have the money to get medical attention. My One of a Kind goal is to one day open up a private practice in my rural community in which I would provide the best medical attention for some of the hardest working people there are like they deserve.

My name is Katelyn Green I am currently a high school senior, during my time in high school I have two jobs working for McDonald's and babysitting. I also joined hospice two years ago and it has been a great community service to get to know new people. I am the first on my mother's side to attend an university and I chosen to attend California Baptist University in the fall. I have two sisters who are also attend in college and they go to RCC in Riverside. Once I graduate from high school and attend college I want to get my master's degree in Kinesiology and do volunteer work for an amazing program in Arizona. My entire life I watched my mom take care of us and do everything in her power to make us proud and live happy lives. Getting this scholarship will help me a lot to get where my dream and goal wants to carry me and I know it wont just help me out but it will help out my family.

Tyler C  on 4/2/2016 1:00:19 PM

My name is Tyler Combs and I did apply for this scholarship. My parents have been supportive all my life always encouraging me to achieve my goals; that was easy when I was just a kid but now that i'm a highschool senior, reality has been hitting me hard. I plan on attending Iowa State University and majoring in pre-medicine to hopefully live out my dream of being a pediatrician. Im a multi-sport varsity athlete in cross country, track and baseball; so I do know the meaning of working hard to be able to achieve what I want to achieve. I have three other younger siblings that look up to me as a role model; and we are supported by only our mother who is a teacher. Times are tough and i'm not gonna lie, sometimes I take for granted of all the things my parents do to support me. This senior year has been stressful in so many ways such as competing in sports, doing schoolwork, and now this year I had to add applying to scholarships on top of that. It can be stressful and sometimes I just feel like I want to give up; but I do want to make my parents proud and make their lives easier, because all my life they've been doing their best to support me. Its time that I start showing my appreciation for that and giving back; so with this scholarship I plan on doing my best to accomplish my goal and to make my family proud, and whether it be the 100,000 dollars or the 5,000 dollars it would definitely help out in a huge way.

Jacquelyn T  on 3/4/2016 3:23:21 PM

I'm trying to go to school to obtain my nutrition degree. I've always had a penchant for helping people, and guiding them to a much healthier life fits right on into the category. I hope you will consider my application, as well as other students who are truly struggling to get the means to go to school. Even if I'm not one of the big winners, just being voted for the leadership-board prize and winning the $5,000 is enough for me.

sarah L  on 3/3/2016 2:06:42 PM

How do I apply for this scholarship

Silvano W  on 2/22/2016 1:14:38 PM

Hi, My name is Silvano Whiteside and let me tell you a story. The year was 1996 and a baby was being born 3 months earlier then expected. This baby weighed 3 pounds, didn't have enough blood, and couldn't digest food on top of all that. The doctor's told the parents that the baby had little to no chance to survive and that it could only happen with a miracle. That miracle came through the tender love and care of what people call the NICU nurses. These brave men and women worked day and night to make sure this baby had fighting chance and in the end they proved that just because you have a phd doesn't make you always correct. So ya that baby was me and for as long as I can remember I've wanted to give back to the people that saved me by being those people. College is expensive and this scholarship would not only help my dreams come true but would also serve as a way to help save lives further down the road.

Devetta M  on 2/17/2016 8:10:32 PM

The deadline for this scholarship says Oct 19th, 2016. When following the link to the scholarship, I discovered that entries for this scholarship are now closed. I thought this might have been something that just hadn't been updated for this years' giveaway, but some of the "Stories" available to vote on were posted as few as 4 days ago. This sounds funny...

My ultimate dream is become a cardiologist, and with that being I have family members who have heart problems. To which I want to stop the trend, and my life has been a roller coaster I can not lie. I would really love to win this money for my tuition because there really isn't enough money in my family to pay for college. I am the first person in my family who would be able to go to college. I am also a twin and I am the only one still in school. I would be so thankful if I was to win this thank you for listening.

Ann N  on 12/4/2015 12:25:39 PM

I am applying to this because over the years my mother has paid for my sister's tuition and for my braces by doing some work even though her health wasn't in good shape. She had to borrow some money from others and than paying back the debts. I decided to apply for scholarships so I don't have to see my mother go through the same process again. Thank you for offering this scholarship.

Jarod O  on 11/21/2015 4:42:26 PM

I am applying for this scholarship for several reasons. 1 my parents told me that they will not be paying for any of my college tuitions. the 2nd reason is that I can not get a job because i am constantly practicing golf so that I can land on a great golf scholarship. 3rd reason I heard that Dr. Pepper is a great way to get extra Scholarship money for a College. 4th Dr. Pepper is way better than coke or Pepsi. I hope that my future College has Dr. Pepper vending machines near my dorm. Thank you people of Dr. Pepper for your time.
