  • The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship is for full time African-American or Black students pursuing a degree in visual arts including, but not limited to, architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, photography, sketching, video production and other decorative arts.

    Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident who is preparing to pursue, or currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree full-time at an accredited college or university. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. Must be pursuing a career in the visual arts with an eligible major, have a minimum 2.5 GPA on 4.0 scale and exhibit leadership and be active in community. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students

Good day! My name is Jesse! It is somewhat hard to come across scholarships for Visual Arts and when I seen this, I was very excited! I applied for this scholarship because I really need funds to pay for my small business and other living expenses. I currently attend Georgia State University- Perimeter and am pursuing a Fine Arts and Studio career. I am a painter and I paint abstract art, foliage, fruits, and God based art. I am apart of Art club and apart of the student body at GSU. I also am considering becoming a primary art teacher. This year, I will obtain my associates and transition to the Atlanta campus, and this money would really help me pay for living expenses, supplies, accountants, lawyers, etc. I would really appreciate it if you would consider me for this scholarship. Thank you very much.
