• Scholarship Description
• The Merchants Exchange Scholarship is awarded to students seeking a career in the maritime industry or with a career that influences the maritime industry. Possible careers include (but are not limited to): Admiralty Law, Tug and Barge operations, Forwarder & Broker, Port Authority, Terminal Operator, Marine Engineering, Maritime Insurance, International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain management, Marine Science, etc. We also support students seeking education in related trades, for example Marine Welding.

  The Scholarship is awarded to students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a declared major of Maritime Affairs and/or International Trade, or a related field as their chosen field of study. Eligible students will be entering their school year as a first or second year (two year programs); a junior or senior (four year programs); a graduate student (any year); or a student in a short course (less than two years) at a US Coast Guard-approved course of study or institution.
