The SC&RF (Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation) was formed in 1986 as a private Foundation to support the SC&RA members and industry at large. Since its inception, the SC&RF has invested nearly one million dollars in workforce development and education and over half a million has been invested in industry specific research to benefit SC&RA member companies and provide an advocacy platform for SC&RA. The SC&RF is a 501(c)3 organization and supported by companies, individuals and like organizations.
The SC&RF Scholarship Program has (3) categories of awards - Collegiate awards for 4 year and masters; Vocational/Technical awards for training courses and continuing ed courses such as accounting, marketing or business; and Partner in Education awards based on donations of tuition by industry training facilities. There are 6 deadlines each year. Recipients are pursuing a career or related major to the crane, rigging and heavy haul industry (a small niche of the construction industry).
