The mission of the Community Foundation of Shelby County is to cultivate, administer and distribute legacy gifts for the benefit of our community. The vision is to be the primary partner for donors who want to advance the community’s quality of life and capacity for excellence. Community Foundations have the unique ability to work with donors of diverse backgrounds and interests. Diversity includes people of different ethnicities, races, genders, sexual orientations, identifications, ages, classes, circumstances, religions, abilities, geographies and philosophies.
The Community Foundation of Shelby County oversees more than 70 scholarship funds that provide around 190 scholarship opportunities to help talented and passionate students attain their dreams. Scholarships are available to high school seniors, current college students and adults from select counties in Ohio. Additional requirements and dollar amounts will vary by scholarship, and deadlines will also differ (depending on the level of schooling that is being applied for).
