The Oregon Chapter of IEEE PES wants to assist engineering students interested in Power Engineering. You must be enrolled at one of these universities, majoring in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Power Engineering: Oregon State University, Portland State University, Oregon Institute of Technology (Klamath Falls or Wilsonville), The University of Portland, or Washington State University/Vancouver.
One person annually will be selected based primarily on interest in working in the Power Industry, and on financial need.
Please submit a response (300 words or less for each question) to the following two questions
1) Why do you have an interest in working in the Power Industry as an Electrical Engineer?
2) What financial challenges are you facing as a student?
Once we have selected a final list of candidates, we will contact you by phone, and will require an e-mail address issued by the University. There is also an expectation that you will send an e-mail letting us know how things are going during the school year. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
