To be eligible for the Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship, applicants must: be a current undergraduate student in a two-year swine program or four-year college of agriculture (high school seniors are ineligible); be a citizen of the United States; and intend to pursue a career in the pork industry and exhibit characteristics representative of future pork industry leaders. Applications can be submitted either through the online form, emailed to the provider or mailed to the specified address.
The National Pork Producers Council sole charge is to protect the livelihood of pork producers in the U.S. We do so by regularly meeting and convening with legislators and regulators in our nation’s capital and international trade organizations. To all, we stress the nutrition and hard-won safety of the pork products you provide consumers, that you raise hogs humanely, and the enormous contribution of the pork industry to the U.S economy and local communities across America. Throughout our generosity, we offer scholarships.
