Scholarship Description
To be eligible for the NPFDA Scholarship, applicants must: be an employee of a NPFDA Member Company or the child/dependent of an employee of a NPFDA Member Company; and be enrolled full-time at a US based College or University (as an undergraduate) or be a high school senior. In addition to the application, applicants must also submit a transcript, a recommendation letter (from a department head, advisor or dean) and a 500-word essay describing applicant's goals and aspirations.
NPFDA has been in existence since 1967 and is constantly growing and changing to meet it’s member's needs. NPFDA was started by a group of poultry & food distributors who recognized a true need for an organization able to deal with the problems of the distribution segment of the industry. Within the course of a year, NPFDA saw the need to expand membership with broad objectives structured to embody all segments of the industry and incorporate a "team" concept.
