• Scholarship Description
• Friends of Syracuse University have made generous contributions which enable us to award scholarships for specific study abroad experiences for Syracuse undergraduate students who are participating in semester programs. Awards will be a part of your financial aid package and will be disbursed to your Bursar’s account before the start of classes. You may apply for up to four scholarships but only need to submit one essay. Please review the scholarship qualifications and list your preferences on your application.

  The JoAnn Heffernan Heisen Scholarship is offered to Syracuse undergraduates on the basis of academic merit and financial need. Award is restricted to SU students who come from single parent households. Students applying for this award will need to sign a release and upload it to their MySlice account. An additional email will be sent to students from Syracuse Abroad with the relevant form and instructions after the application deadline has passed.
