Hello I am a proud representative of the Navajo Nation and the Choctaw Nation, I will soon be a student at Pima Medical Institute. I am going to be enrolling into the veterinarian field, to help my community back home with our livestock and pets. Not only that, but I love spending time with the animals I have at home and that I met. I've already got done hands on experience with some animals back home, if I do get this scholarship it will really help me out so much, you help me pursue my dreams working on animals.

I am first generation college graduate. I am a bilingual registered nurse. I feel a strong sense of duty to be a nurse in my community and help as many people as I can. I love helping people feel good. I truly believe that a nurse can not only save lives, but change and improve lives too. I am hoping that getting my Family Nurse Practitioner License will help make a bigger difference in my community.

Challenges are inevitable, and those challenges help build the type of person that someone decides to be. Growing up in Nigeria, my parents were what the vast population would consider being middle class. They were self-employed and had a lot going for them. Both my parents grew up extremely poor; my mom used to hawk food on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, and my dad lived in the village and sold local fake cosmetics to fend for him and his family. Our parents' background caused a lot of pressure for my siblings and me because we were constantly reminded of our parents' humble beginnings. These stories started what would be my fear of failure. In high school, I would always try to be at the top of my class, and once it happened, there was no stopping me. I kept getting better at every grade level and then graduated as salutatorian and the best graduating science student at fifteen. I always knew I wanted to be a STEM major, but I never knew what I truly wanted to do or who I wanted to be, and because of that, my parents suggested for me to be on track for Medicine, and to please them, I did just that. I struggled so much in school, it was a competition, and they had limited spots for Medicine, so if you missed by even a point, you would be given another course. I finished that year and was waiting for when the results came out. Well, that day came, and my friend called and said, check your phone for your grades. And on that day, I felt like the failure that I always tried not to be. How was I going to break the news to my parents that I did not get in? They already all their friends that I was going to be a doctor. I eventually did, and they seemed like they did not care, but I did, so much more than I should. The school gave me a second-choice major in Chemistry, and I did it for a semester till my mom left Nigeria for America with my siblings and me. We started a whole new life here, which led to an identity crisis. I was 18 and did not know what to do till I sat

I am in my second semester of college and this scholarship looks very useful. I haven't exactly pin pointed what I want to do as a career, but I do want to get involved with tribal council after I succeed with my education. I want to represent the Oglala Sioux Tribe.

I am currently enrolled and going back to school. I am going back to finish my college degree since i had to take a break from it due to my family emergency. I am enrolled back into my game design program at a different college since ITT Tech closed down. I wanna finish college and make something of myself so i can better my self for me and my kids. i think i would benefit with this scholarship, im half navajo and half lakota,i would be first generation ging to a university school and it would help me accomplish my goal for my career. im determined on getting my bachelors of science pursing my nursing degree. i will help alot because i wont be working will going to school at the same time.

I think I would benefit from this scholarship. I am an Native American woman from Michigan. I have had many hardships that has limited my ability to afford my books. I am determined to get my bachelor degree in Biology at Central Michigan University. Because of my love for the environment and the need to preserve the land I want to become a botanist. I feel that with the help of this scholarship I can achieve my goals. I want to finish school and become the first generation in my family to get a bachelor degree and eventually get my masters degree.

I would really benefit from this scholarship becuase I'm a single mother and will be attending college in the fall. This scholarship will help me pay for college and I am a full blood Native American from New Mexico. I am interested in the medical feild, it is a way for me to give back to my community. I am very determined to get my Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene and after I recieve that, I want to future my education to become an RN. What inspires me to pursue a career in the medical feild is my gradmother. I have seen how well the doctors and nurses have treated her well and want to do the same for my elders.

I think I would benefit this scholarship. I am a full blood Native American from Arizona and is planning on attending the University of Arizona. I am determined to get my bachelor's with Behavioral and Social Sciences and with that degree, pursue my law degree. My law degree will be with family law. After pursuing my law degree, I plan to work with the Navajo Nation and help my people out with what I know from school.

I would really benefit from this scholarship because I'm paying for all of my college fees and living. I'm not coming from a family of wealth but a family who always fights over money and how to use it, my mother is in debt and because of this my dad has to pay all the bills including groceries, sometimes it gets bad enough to where I have to pitch in and help buy groceries. This scholarship would really help me out. thank you.
