Dolphin Scholarship Foundation grants are available, on a competitive basis, to high school or college children/stepchildren and spouses of members or former members of the submarine force or those who have served in submarine support activities.
Scholarship Details
- Annual grants ranging from $1,500 to $4,000
- For two-year or four-year full-time undergraduate studies, or trade/vocational certification
- 113 ongoing Dolphin Scholarships and 13 Administered Scholarships
- 30-40 new scholarships awarded annually
Eligibility Criteria
- Children and spouses of members of the U.S. Submarine Force
- Academic proficiency, school and community involvement are key selection criteria
- Financial need considered after all financial aid has been determined
- Spouse scholarships available for those pursuing first undergraduate degree or certification
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application with all required documentation
- Submit evidence of academic achievement and community involvement
- Provide information on financial need and other financial aid received
- Spouses should specify their pursuit of a first undergraduate degree or certification
Approximately 30-40 new scholarships are awarded each year. All scholars are selected on the basis of academic proficiency as well as commitment and excellence in school and community activities. Although not a part of the actual selection process, financial need is considered once all financial aid assistance for an applicant has been determined.
