Jeffrey L. Esser Career Development Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• In 2017, GFOA’s Executive Board voted to create the Jeffrey L. Esser Career Development Scholarship to advance the public finance careers of individuals employed at least three years by one or more state or local governments. The scholarship is open to part-time undergraduate students seeing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Public administration, (governmental) accounting, finance, or business administration (with a specific focus on government).

  Applicants must supply a letter of recommendation from an employer, and someone who can speak to your commitment to the public sector. Total amount available for award is $5,000 to $15,000, with one to three awards per year. Must have been employed at least three years by one or more state or local governments to be eligible. Hello my name is Daisy, I'm currently enrolled on college as a freshmen, I'm majoring into business, I hope on day I will become an important business women. I would love to help others in the future to those whom experience poverty in their daily lives. This scholarship would help me be saving money to start my own business.
