I am applying for this scholarship because it has always been a dream of mine to work in the medical field and be a physical therapist. One of my family members had to go through physical therapy to recover from a major spinal surgery and after witnessing the whole recovery and what the job of a physical therapist entailed, I knew thats what I was meant to be and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I applied for this scholarship in hopes I would get the assistance I need to help pursue this dream of mine and become a physical therapist.

I felt that it was important to have a goal in life and one of my biggest goal in life growing up as a kid was to always want to become a doctor or work in the medical field. I made the decision to join the health care field based on my own choice, What made me want to really want to join this field was the love of getting to meet new people and being able to lend a hand to the people in need. One thing I learned studying in the health care industry is that I am a people person to say at least i love meeting new people and talking with people and getting to know them but growing up as a kid I was never a talking kinda kid but as i started going into the health care industry I started opening up to people and got used to talking to people the health care industry helped me alote and in the near fututre what i want to do is help the community i grew up on and help the people in need and give back to the community.

Remembering 9/11

September 11, 2020

by Izzy Hall

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States of America. We honor those who lost their lives in the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, as well as the first responders who gave their lives rescuing survivors, and the passengers of Flight 93 who thwarted the hijacker’s plans. The events of September 11, 2001 touched the lives of all Americans and redefined a generation. Now, even in the midst of another national crisis, we feel it is appropriate to take the time to remember this tragedy. [...]
