  • Created in 1963 by the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) has evolved into one of the nation's leading student aid organizations. Today, PHEAA is a national provider of student financial aid services, serving millions of students and thousands of schools through its loan guaranty, loan servicing, financial aid processing, outreach, and other student aid programs. PHEAA's earnings are used to support its public service mission and to pay its operating costs, including administration of the PA State Grant and other state-funded student aid programs.

I will graduate from a high school in Western PA this coming June. I plan to attend either CCAC or IUP in the fall to further my passion of nursing. I am seeking extra financial help to minimize my debt. I'm interested in any scholarships that might make my education less expensive, while helping as many people as I can along the way!

I am applying for this scholarship because I have 7 siblings. 5 of my siblings have autism and I am the first child who does not have this disorder. I need some help getting to college because I am the first one going to college and this will help me get a jump start on my career plans! Thank you very much for this opportunity! - Erik W. I just started at All State Career School. I applied for FASFA and even received a grant towards my CDL course. Unfortunately, they don't cover everything. I am responsible for $150 a month for the next six months. It may not seem like a lot too most, but I volunteer 40 hours a week at a homeless shelter to pay for my stay there. I'm a single father of three trying to turn my life around. I'm concerned I will lose my chance to better not only my life but my children's lives due to lack of payment.
