Scholarship Description

Offering more degree programs and specializations than any other art and design university, SCAD is uniquely qualified to prepare talented students for professional, creative careers. SCAD prepares talented students for creative professions through engaged teaching and learning in a positively oriented university environment. To simplify the financial aid application process, SCAD has provided an overview to guide you along the way. Application deadlines vary based on the type of aid for which you're applying. Note the varying deadlines and give yourself enough time to collect required documentation.

Scholarships and grants are gift aid — financial aid that does not have to be repaid. Scholarships are typically merit based, while grants are given based on financial need. Both can come from the government, the university, or a private organization. SCAD offers scholarships to students in different artistic disciplines who will be attending school at the main Atlanta campus. Awards are available for incoming and current students. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA for most scholarships. Individual scholarship criteria varies. Dollar amounts will vary as well.
